... We went to check out the contemporary art at Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Castilla y Leon. Well...sorry to say this but we didn't like it at all. Oops. It was my shortest record of visiting museums...30 minutes.

We walked along the river under many many chestnuts trees towards the old town and had light meal.

... 24 hours off my feet and a luxury I have not had since they started to blister. I only needed to lance those under the toes as the impact padding is seeming to do the job with the huge ones on the heels. I had to perform a number of contortionist moves to lance those under my toes and with knees up under the chin and having to use the left hand for one maneuver I managed to complete the task.

We arrived in Leon yesterday by bus from Burgos. We stayed an extra day to tour the area before starting the Camino tomorrow. This city has offered us an incredible lesson in history. We are currently staying in the original hospital built for the pilgrims on the Camino. Hospital was the word used for the place for pilgrims, meaning hospitality.
