... authentic Romanesque murals from the 11th century. We also saw the Mozarab Bible from the 10th century. It was a hand written bible by two monks. Next we saw the Cathedral of Leon, a Gothic style structure with outstanding stained glass windows.

Today we walked 8 or 9 miles. Our sweet, older hotel owner served us late breakfast (around 10) as we slept in a little since we had a shorter day. He was very cute, saying "Si, Si, Si" always three times in a row, very emphatically when answering questions. He made Cindy fried eggs and sausage and was very attentive to my coffee making sure the proportions of coffee to milk and overall quantity were to my liking. ... through our bedding and bags. Keeps,the bed bugs away. Been filling my pack with twigs of lavender when I see them but this should help more. Hedley coped one the other day. Heard about them now I'm paranoid! I know even 5 star hotels get them, but massive Albergues with hoards of bodies per week are a prime target and you can't be sure of the hygiene of your fellow pilgrims even though they are great people.
