... and in fact I was too until Frosty persuaded me to try the whole journey in one go. And I'm so pleased I made that decision. ... Site. From the view point, you can see several small hills that are left after mining, and other than those hills, the land was completely covered by chestnuts trees. We could visit one of the mining tunnels as well.

It was a long day... now we're back in the room. And I'm looking forward to just staying in the room, cook dinner, work, etc. Tomorrow we'll be moving on to Burgos. The trip is getting closer to the end...

... 24 hours off my feet and a luxury I have not had since they started to blister. I only needed to lance those under the toes as the impact padding is seeming to do the job with the huge ones on the heels. I had to perform a number of contortionist moves to lance those under my toes and with knees up under the chin and having to use the left hand for one maneuver I managed to complete the task.

John Lennon said "There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be." That is how Burgos turned out for me.

Burgos is a vibrant city with a magnificent 13th century gothic cathedral. I have seen numerous cathedrals in my life - this one is the most elaborate. Although my favourite is still Gaudi's La Sagrade Familia in Barcelona.
