... I'm not used to. As a group all 90 of us walked up and down the neighborhood street making as much noise as possible. Banging on plastic bottles, screaming and cheering for our groups, los torros, las tigers, y los lions. When we made it back to the school we had cake, and Francesca came up and used her English Spanish mix to ask me to find the markers so that we could sign each others shirts. That girl is a natural born leader, and I love thinking about what she'd be up to ...

Running on the beach in 30 degrees heat and 90% humidity is hard work!!!

I ran barefoot once, sprint training in the soft sand...it was a mistake as all of my toes blistered.

I can only run on the weekend and it is tough running on the sand but I am glad that I can run ...

I don't know how many of you have ever faced one of your fears, but that moment when you overcome the ...

... gifts for free which was awesome. Definitely worth the 15 minutes of attention they asked from us. We were too timid to leave the resort, minus the excursions we signed up for. We went on boat ride out to Paradise island and snorkelled with the Monkey fish, a very fond memory!! (IF you don't have an underwater camera, spend the $5 to buy one, wish I had!!). This also included a stop at a Vigar factory which was interesting. We also ...

The Day I Did 27 Waterfalls!

... then it was time to go down our first waterfall. The fall was tall and steep and there was a rope to climb to the top. I was under the impression you slid down all the falls, but I was gladly suprised that it was a mix of jumping and sliding! This first one was a jump into the water. The water is fresh, pretty cold at 9am, and pretty clear. It's awesome how there are such deep spots below the waterfalls, deep enough to allow jumping like we did today!
