The train was a bit chilly as the night wore on, but then the heat was turned on. After this, sleep truly was impossible as hot air emanated from the old vinyl seats.

... statues and squares scattered around the old town. Their parks are gorgeous. We had beers (Calvin) and lemonade (me) outside while people watching. The Eastern European fashion statements are coming out now that the weather is nice - low low pants, high boots, tummy shirts, etc. Calvin finds it amusing. We are enjoying our days of "doing nothing" while actually experiencing a lot before we go on the tourist track and get caught up seeing all the big sights.

... reprezinta, conform unor statistici pe care le-am citit recent, doua treimi din averea oricarei natiuni europene. Pentru ca in jurul bunurilor imobile: terenuri, constructii, infrastructura si drepturi conexe se creaza, pana la urma, bunastarea oricarei comunitati.

Accommodation sorted, we headed out to explore the town and yet again found that we had covered a large majority of during our search for accommodation during the morning. ... though, I can find no onward transportation onward to Serbia, though that may have changed by now, as those were dark days then. Belgrade seems little more than a stone’s throw as the crow flies, but that doesn’t do me much good if there are no buses or trains. There are plenty of gypsies here, too, many of them hanging out in front and inside of the train station and generally making nuisances of themselves. It’s time to go back.
