On a (very) early Saturday morning we checked out of our hotel in Nantes wearing ski jackets and flew to the south side of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Late breakfast inside as cloudy but after weather improved we go for drive to Chipude stopping off at the Airport to see the magnificent terminal that is only used twice a day! It's 3 Kings in Playa Santiago tonight so we head home arriving back at 18.15, quick turnaround to be in Santiago 19.15. We have missed the beginning of the procession, fire walkers, band and Kings Coach but it returns along the sea front the Kings throwing sweets to the crowds before stopping at the stage. Another sunny morning so breakfast on the terrace before wandering down into Playa Santiago to see a local football match. It turns out to be fun with around 50 locals, surprisingly half women who give the linesman stick when he gives decision against the home team.
