We had two others coming in with us the last few kms. That was all. The downside of that is that if you were walking solo it could get very lonely. It can also be extremely lonely if you don't speak Spanish fluently. We learned early that our meagre Spanish was a real tester. We were so glad we had each other and are happy to ...

There were some tickets available, but they went very fast. I don't think ...

After breakfast at the auberge, the morning was forecast 100% for rain. It rained steady most of the morning which meant keeping my head down under my rain hood, periodically lifting to see if there was a yellow arrow to follow. On one occasion I lifted my head and followed another peregrino until 2 ladies returning on the path said that they and we had mistakenly missed the turn. They had gone up the road about ...

... got a taxi to the hostel and got a good night's sleep after the long journey and another long week at work for me. I lay on the bunk-bed listening to the sound of the rain bouncing off the terrace awning; every time I woke up it was still raining.
In the morning we had some breakfast and got our first view of the famous cathedral from the common room window. The owner of the hostel said to us he was going to tell it like it is: it rains ...
