I am really glad I got to walk into Santiago with Bruce and Darlene. It was amazing the number of people we ran nto who we had met ealier on in the trip and it made the day. We were able to take some photos on the trip in and the service this morning was really good. I ran into the Japanese guy who gave me the early advice on the full accommodation in o'Cebrerio and we got a photo together in one of the squares on the way in. First into the square ...

(In fact for anyone from Scotland it was just really what we ...

(Events on 9/12/2013, written on 9/13/2013.) We wake up in the plush jungle of sheets, pillows and a thick comforter with the air conditioner cranked low. We did not want to get out of bed. However, we decided it was time to wake up if we did not want to be late to meet the guys at 11. Morning rituals complete (except for having to pack up our bags), we take the elevator down and start to walk slowly towards the cathedral. As ...

... in his tomb. I’m not entirely sure why as I’m not at all religious. But doing that I felt as if it put a final end to this pilgrim. It was going to feel strange getting up in the morning and not have to be anywhere. Not have to be up early, not having to put on my walking boots and mentally get in the frame of mind for walking all day. This time for the next few days was mine. Time to relax, reflect ...
