... vans pull up into the main square to sell their wears. I enjoy looking around these markets, it was mostly clothes today, got myself a warm vest, think I will need it, the weather is becoming colder. No snow at this level yet, which is disappointing Liam. We could see some on the mountain tops, but it is snowing up North so it wont be long before he sees some.
We went for a stroll along Porto Recanati's beach front, a bit different to when we were here ...

We're en route to Naples and broke the journey in Civitanova Marche, a delightful sea side town, which must buzz during the summer. Over this weekend they were hosting a festival of chocolate, I have never seen so many chocolate stalls in one location, all overflowing with delicious looking things......Dalmatians, shoes, tools and even things that looked like ...

Chef Filippo had us cut up the oranges into segments for the panna cotta. Jeff & I had actually learned how to cut an orange in segments in our cooking class in Paris a few months earlier & knew Jeff loved this task. The oranges were from southern Italy.

Next we were each given a whole trout to fillet & debone. Unfortunately, our knives were not that sharp, which made for a messy task. ...

... beverage time. At the bottom of the hill, we met up with the rest of our group and sat outside to have some beers & wine. Again, it was another beautiful warm day in Umbria, we could not ask for better weather.

I wish we had more time in the adorable medievel town, would have liked to see the castle and church, but was too lazy to walk uphill. Those who went to both sights said they were beautiful. We boarded back onto the shuttle ...

... began making tagliolini. I had seen a photo on the brochure of a class making a long strand of pasta & asked Chef Fillipo if we could do that, he was such a good sport & helped us. He kept adding the pasta to the machine & making it longer by the second, soon we were rushing around trying to get enough hands to keep the pasta from touching the floor & we did it!!
