... book so I could show him where I wanted to go (and negotiate the price). He flounced around to the back of his car and slammed the lid of the boot/trunk. How fiery of him! I called him back, showed him the address, and asked how much. He told me 40 pesos. I told him that mi amigo dice 30 pesos. He stuck to his guns at 40. I caved.

At the end of a ten minute taxi ride through cobbled, really NARROW roads, I turned up at the brown door in the red wall of ...
Guanajuato, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico hilaryford... t matter any more. We attended one techno party with some great DJs in a park one sunny afternoon (a strange but wonderful experience that later spilled into a nearby club...a total of 12 hours in a row of dancing to some great music with a hip, friendly, and exhausted crew of people from all over Mexico). Another night (morning), we summited Pipila, a huge stone statue towering from atop Guanajuato ...
Guanajuato, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico dylbeano... and also about their peculiar head distorting and cross-eyed creating customs - performed on babies in the name of beauty and indication of nobility,
Later, Daniel took me to large pub sort of a place where enormous bull heads festooned the walls, and where we were served a succession of delicious snacks - to the extent that eating any dinner was out of the question. We were joined by Daniel's brother, Alexandro, his wife, Sophia and ...

San Miguel de Allende, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico lobo... nice RV parking area behind the hotel, and although there is no hotel-sponsored WIFI there ARE a couple of unsecured sites you can access, at least in our experience. As far as we're concerned, unsecured WIFI sites are like an invitation to share, so we do. This city is amazing and because of it's attractiveness compared to others like San Luis Potosi and Ciudad Victoria, it has more tourists and charm. We'll get ...
San Miguel de Allende, Mexico bohemianeug... have free snacks or wine, sometimes you like the art, sometimes you meet really interesting people. We walk up to the main area, visit a gallery, shop a bit, sit in the Jardin and look at the lighted Parroquia (church) and people watch. Maybe we stop for something to eat. Maybe we come home and fix something. Since lunch is at 2 or so, the art and the sightseeing fit in with a late supper. Parque Juarez is fairly close by and ...
San Miguel de Allende, Mexico judyk68... as events unfold.

December 26th - the "botanical garden". Websters defines botancial garden as "a garden with greenhouses for the culture, study, and exhibition of special plants". Having grown up next to the South Coast Botanical Garden, I was familiar with this definition and had certain expectations. We visted the local botancial garden today. It was not an unpleasant experience, but I'm not sure it rates "botanical garden" status ...
San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico itsgotime... two of us we have read over ten thousand book pages and counting. We fall asleep every night to the sound of fireworks and Banda music after poorly played chess games or epic cribbage tournaments. We hope everybody else is having a fun holiday season. We miss skiing. Can´t wait to see those of you who will be joining us for Christmas. We pick Raedie´s mom up from the airport in Leon in just two days. I´ll see my mom two day´s after that. Love to all. Rick, Raederle, and Sucia.
