but it is not the same as in San Miguel..
In San Miguel there is a little bit of the underlying feeling that
there is us (the English speaking people), and
there is them (the Mexicans).. the there is US and THEM feeling....

... a soft, sweet roll shaped like a bun with decorative dough "bones" on the top. The bones represent the lost loved one and they form a circle around the bun to represent the circle of life. Pan de muerto is covered with sugar and sweet marmalade flavoring and it is eaten at the gravesite or altar created for the deceased family member. I bought some this week for the kids.. it is yummy!
