Getting old
... me a happy birthday. I have to say, it's a nice feeling. I might just keep wearing that ribbon all the time! And, I met several other people who share the same birthday. That's fun, too.
Catalina hosts an Eco-Marathon for Veteran's Day, which is the day after my birthday, which in this case meant running the race right on my birthday. There is also a Big Band/Swing Dance Festival, so almost all the hotel rooms ...
A day by the seaside
... yards, the whales didn't break surface very much and although we could clearly see them blowing, it didn't make for great photos - sorry ... but there are plenty more photos of today here.
The drive home was more direct but still took over an hour because of the traffic. I came a slip road to be confronted with 16 lanes of non-moving traffic - stuck in both directions. All ...
A island away...and yet so close!
... breakfast burritos were not quite hearty enough, so we ducked into a small old school diner called Original Jack's Country Kitchen and Bake Shop. It was very nostalgic with tons of neat photos hung all around of old Hollywood stars who also visited in years gone by. Service was great and the food was even better!

We never thought Morocco to be such a beautiful and fascinating land with a diversity of culture and customs. And it is now changing fast. in fact we found the country much more developed than we ever thought. We would like to return to the area, probably visiting Marrakesh and Fes, If you haven't been there, maybe it's time to go!!
