... area. Well, since I had been told it existed I went in with more confidence. Indeed. It was the LARGEST seating area of any of the pizza contestants. There was a small area next to the kitchen that was off a small entry way -- hidden from the street. Then upstairs there were at least 4 rooms with simple chairs and tables. Just waiting to be the lucky support of some delicious pizza.

I ordered the Buffala pizza. Mozzarella di Buffala (HEY! Does that mean from Buffalo milk ...
Naples, Campania, Italy josiezim... See ya. He immediately came over to me and said, "Wait, wait. If you pay 15euro we can start now." Uh, no. "Okay, okay, c'mon, let's go. We'll get started now." Oh yeah. Look at me working my consumer power.

I'm glad that I opted for the guide. Pompei/ii really is a city. It's not just a little archeological site closed in by a fence, it's a full on city with neighborhoods and roads and everything. But because it's all ruins it ...
Sorrento, Campania, Italy josiezimTomorrow morning we catch a train for Sorrento. We will be there for 4 nights. We will take day trip to Amalfi, but we will not be staying at the hotel there. Joe and I decided that our stay on the Amalfi coast will be more enjoyable if we do not change hotels , so we extended our stay at the hotel in Sorrento, and cancelled the one in Amalfi. Just wanted to let everyone know in case you needed to reach us.
Sorrento, Campania, Italy mandjcann... table. They were also very nice -- and from Siena so we had plenty to chat about.

So after floating home from my double-pizza day I returned to the hostel and asked one of the guys if he was at the pizza place earlier (I thought I had seen him there). Anyway, he told me he went to Di Michelle for lunch but went to Di Matteo for dinner. And that the later was better.

C-R-A-P. It appears the contest has been reopened.
Naples, Campania, Italy josiezim... the maniac behind the wheel were enough to make you feel nautious. Sophie's parents had rented a villa in the heard of the village, with amazing patios and views of the sea. From Positano we did a couple of day trips to Capri, a small island about a 35 minute ferry ride of the coast and a trip to Pompeii to the ancient Roman ruins ...
Positano, Campania, Italy sofenjonStayed in a small town south of Naples (Vico Enquense) which was right on the water (in a rather remote cove). We rented an apartment for the week which was part of a hotel complex. At the beginning of our trip, we met Tony (from Jersey City) who was from Vico and told us where to get the best pizza and his wife was from Sorrento (which is just south of Vico) so we had some ...
Naples, Campania, Italy pathenger... a few minutes to catch the purple bus, which traveled to the South West along the Bay of Naples to the residential area of Posillipo. On the return, the Castel del'Ovo and Santa Lucia appeared to be quite visible. Getting off the bus in front of the Stazione Marittima, on via Cristoforo Colombo (street), we crossed the street and walked through some of the street markets. After some casual ...
Naples, Campania, Italy ricknelsie... and vines everywhere. The views were amazing.

After our nature walk, we did spend a little time exploring the commercial end. There were lots and lots and lots of stores. Most were expensive, and for all intents and purposes.....EMPTY.

We ended our day there with, of course, a gelato.

Although, we were only in Capri one day, I think that we saw and did about everything that you could do.
Capri, Campania, Italy scwonderwoman... either would? It may actually be, "Milano Male Model Matt Missing!" after all! lol I decided to take the chance that one of the obscure paths would lead me to Capri. After about ten minutes and several times kicking myself for the decision while my eyes turned back up to the mountain where the chairlift ...
Anacapri, Italy matt.lawrence... away time. It's one thing to make the honest effort to get somewhere (even if it's "grotesquely difficult"), but to just get dropped off? That's cheating. After a very brief time wandering, we found the lift to the top of Monte Solaro, and managed to arrive at the *exact* same time as one of the groups from a ship. The twelve minute chair lift ride, though, was definitely worth it. Once you were in the chair, you couldn't really hear very ...
