    ... the boat, we wandered down to Pier 39 where the seals were.....of course Wendy couldn't take the smell....I think she's a smell savant...there has to be a name for it....we shopped....then went to Boudin's for lunch....great soup in a sourdough bowl.Our last stop was Ghirradelli Square(sp)....Can you say free samples???So this is my last blog.....great trip and ready to come home.....gotta get ready to become a Nana..,how do I do ...

    Myself, wife and friend will be doing a 5 day stay in Sausalito and would like to hear from all who know this town. I went to school in SF many years back and now returning ( once again) with a friend in tow for a quick vacation.

    Never been to Sausalito and wish to eat like a local. Enjoy local stuff and enjoy stuff off ...

    Found a great Mexican cafe for lunch and 2 beers, which has knocked us out.

    We have been struck by how helpful everyone is here, you only have to be looking puzzled at a street sign or with your map spread out in front of you and someone is there offering you help.

    ... and painted all different colours. I had never been here before, so it was pretty cool to see this. The Park is situated on a hill (go figure), so the vantage point was amazing with the cityscape in the background. However, the fog rolled in, so we couldn’t really see the city! Oh well, it is what it is.
