... The property access is a large door / gate, solid in most cases and a second pedestrian door. It’s unusual to be able to see into the property. The houses are built close to the street front and are elongated, stretching back from the street. Outhouses, barns are part of the building.

Apart from the mountain passes there are lots of other interesting places around. An added bonus is that we can cycle so for the first time in six weeks the bicycles are one the road. The only “local hazard” is the high incidence of uncontrolled dogs along the way. Evidently they do bite and we should always carry rocks to throw at them. So after 4 days in Hungary we headed to Romania via Debrecen
where we needed to change money and get fuel and some gas for our cooking. The
easy part was fuel and money change the gas part was difficult until we came
upon an out of the way place called Dorcus Camping which runs a camp site 12 km
out of town where they also look after poor children from broken families.
