... a small fortune as you would in Australia. Aside from soccer we have been filling up on delicious Brazilian food and drinks that include; chicken hearts, cheese skewers, cheese bread, Mandioca and all sorts of BBQ meats and other tasty morsels and of course my fav caipirinha's. I chatted in a mixture of Portuguese and English with the two oldest grandkids who wanted to practice their English...well there uncle wanted them to practice their English. Later, I played dominos with the twin grandchildren and Lu. Then, to conclude the afternoon of family fun, we had coffee and bolos de chuva (think ...

Brazil without the bubble of the cruise protection/comfort.

We only spent about 2 hours in Santos, we departed the ship, a little sad to leave it, maybe more to do with the fact that now we have to find our own way in a country where we don't speak any of the language!

We loaded our backpacks on and set off the ship to find the bus station to Sao Paulo, where we had a stay for three nights booked.

... cabin on the ship. We have views facing directly over/down on Avenida Paulista - one of the main streets in Sao Paulo. We went out and walked around - got ourselves a little familiar with our surroundings and then by the time we got back to the hotel and went to the lounge - we ended up having drinks and hors d oeuvres there and never did go out for dinner - which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Looks like rain for tomorrow so not sure what we will ...
