And so after a long flight - 12+ hours - we arrived in Paris, grabbed a quick drink and then on to Birmingham. Unfortunately, Pat's suitcase decided to stop off in Paris but will hopefully be delivered tomorrow! Back to a sunny UK, with a temperature not much cooler than Hanoi yesterday, where the blossom is in full swing. Lots of memories of a lovely holiday. ...

Bed times are getting later & later here - around 9.30pm at the moment! Next stop Hvar island - ...

... night which was 90 minutes walking around Bath (but not covering much ground) with a comedian and I must say it was very funny. It was also a gorgeous evening. We awoke to more rain and so we started our walking tour with our umbrellas. We ditched the walk as the guide was boring and by the time we found both The Circus and The royal Crescent, the rain had stopped and the sun was shining. It ...

... kept the stories to what was historically accurate, and I appreciated that! The castle grounds are beautiful too. Outside the walls they have a green where they had a "Birds of Prey" show with eagles and a vulture. It was very nicely done. We took a walk over to the conservatory where there was a peacock themed garden designed by Capability Brown with a low maze and peacock topiaries. It has a lovely terrace where you can sit and ...
