After an uneventful drive, we arrived in Bressanone(Brixen) in the evening, just in time for some home cooked food prepared by friends, followed by a game of cards played with an interesting deck of cards. Hoping for better weather we went to bed with the aim of reaching Belgrade the following ...

      Dolomites to Paris

Today we woke early to have breakfast before our taxi came to take us to the train station. We were running a tad late due to the overly relaxed concierge and when we arrived at the station were in trouble for being only 2 mins early for the bus. To add to the pressure we had to pay the taxi driver the fee of €25 which would have been fine if we had the cash or had time to go to the ATM. ... slope she was much better and just side stepped down without any fuss. We made our way through the run and Ash skied most, side stepping only a few steep parts. At one point I was up ahead and about to pullover to wait for Ash and accidentally pulled into the way of an Italian skiing lady. She swerved with a myriad of what I'm sure were Italian swearwords and went off the piste into the deep snow on the side. Although I felt bad, I was ...

      Venice to the Dolomites

A travel blog entry by jtate on Jan 18, 2015

... I did a big lap of the town, it was -4deg, and had no luck finding the office. After asking for directions a few times and following them in a round about way to no avail then asking for more directions leading me back to the bus stop where ash was waiting I was starting to get a bit frustrated! Eventually we noticed a big Ski Pass sign staring us right in the face across the road from the bus station... If only I ...
