Great seaside village would have lots to offer if staying for awhile. Just one night. Arrived 12.30 had lunch walked the Main Street, waited in beach girls the rain yo stop and walked back for nonno nap. Accomadation at Albergo La Pineta, is good, nice room, staff and great views. It was time to say goodbye to France today and this time we are not sure when we will be back. We set off this morning for our drive to Italy and we were a bit worried about Stevo to start with as he tried to make us do some crazy hairpin turns on some very narrow roads in the hills but he eventually came good. The drive took us down to the French Riviera and Jess and I were both in agreement on our first impression; we didn't think much of it. Of course ...

Leaving Nice late in the afternoon, using the tollways, found it easy to drive to Savona. Well, easy in that it was the most direct route with few entry/exit points. With a speed limit of 130, you were certainly moving. Driving at the speed limit, we were one of the slower vehicles on the road. Trucks went hurtling past, as due to the fact that you were either in a tunnel or on a viaduct, you rarely had a hill, and the drivers took full advantage of it.
