... stop was the palace and gardens of Generalife, meaning 'architects garden'. The gardens were lovely (and shaded phew!), inside the palace are more gardens including a long pool framed by flower beds that is very pretty.
Completely exhausted, due to the 40 degree heat of the day we returned to Ethel to collect Poppy and jump straight in the pool! Another BBQ is called for!

Too many modes of transport

... and they sounded beautiful. After rehearsal, Julia and I experienced our first Spanish supermarket (a failed attempt to find water) and went to a Catholic mass in Spanish. Though we understood none of what the priest was saying, we got to pray a bit beforehand and I took communion. Seeing Chelsea, Jeff, and Kayla so happy and normal-looking and complete while prayed was a new experience for me. It inspired me again, to want to be closer to God. Nothing wrong with that.
