Got to the Stansted Premier Inn and no iPhone charger - blank looks behind the desk despite having ring and checked earlier in the day ....so first improvisation, with the help of my mini Leatherman, carefully stowed by Bea. Success! Now to settle down to an M&S salad in front of the TV. Bed at 9:30 and up at 4:45. Can't wait to get going ...

... curlers came down and gladly checked us in early.

The rest of the day was spent napping, eating and local sightseeing. Mom finally found the perfect shoes, the exact pair she wears at home, and it instantly made a difference. I hadn't mentioned it here in a while, but her feet were still hurting pretty bad. I bought some new sandals as mine had pretty much worn through to the ground, and we walked the boardwalk along ...
