Day 9

... but eventually we had to go out to get on the boat for snorkeling. The boat ride to the snorkeling spot was amazing and relaxing! I got a little sea sick once we anchored, but I just jumped in the water with all my snorkeling gear so I was fine. Snorkeling was cool but I had trouble breathing and my mouth piece was broken. It's also sort of gross because everyone bites the same thing that has been on a ton of other people's mouths. ...

Day 8

... that the second half was much, much steeper. I can say with all honesty, walking up the rest of that mountain was the most physically demanding thing I have done in my life. Imagine yourself, walking up a 70 degree incline in 95 degree humid weather for an hour. The sun was on me, my head was beating, my vision was blurring and my legs were extremely strained. I had no Gatorade left and no water in the first place. I seriously thought I was going to pass ...

being, and it was good, really good.

Sadly, I don't know if there is a way to live this lesson out at home, as our culture thrives on being busy. But best I can, I intend to ...

... s clear and gorgeous other times.

We hired this company across the street from our hotel, Sosua By The Sea Boutique Beach resort, and payed 1600 RD for a personal taxi, admission to the park, fees for all 27 waterfalls, a lifejacket, a helmet and two guides. Iguanamama and Green Mountain Tours are other groups that go to the falls.

All in all, I am so glad I went!

We drove about 45 minutes to the waterfalls. I can't imagine getting ...
