The three exhibits focused on the anthropological aspects of the Dominican culture, some of the country's art, as well as a photography exhibit by the acclaimed Dominican photographer, Apeco.

... and always willing to offer a "Hola" as you pass by. The people in the markets were also kind, informative and not pushy.

We have also gotten to know our guides and learn more Spanish from them. It's encouraging to see their heart for the TEARS Ministry and how they enjoy serving. I look forward to hearing more of their stories.

So far the Dominican has been full of colourful surprises and facinating history.

guide if it was alright if I climbed to a different jumping spot, she automatically said, "Of course you can," instead of the expected, "No, the jumping point is here," that I would have gotten at most such attractions in the U.S. And best of all, we spent a whole lot of time just
being, and it was good, really good.

The Day I Did 27 Waterfalls!

We hired this company across the street from our hotel, Sosua By The Sea Boutique Beach resort, and payed 1600 RD for a personal taxi, admission to the park, fees for all 27 waterfalls, a lifejacket, a helmet and two guides. Iguanamama and Green Mountain Tours are other groups that go to the falls.

All in all, I am so glad I went!

We drove about 45 minutes to the waterfalls. I can't imagine getting ...
