... Antonio Gaudi's UNESCO World Heritage Sites including La Sagrada Familia (the famous church), a tour of the famous Parc Guell he designed and built high up the side of one of the hills overlooking the city. Quite a big walk but worth every step! What an amazing place (have I said this before?) We do a drive past of Batllo House and the very unconventional Casa Mila building. Before the tour finishes we take in the Olympic Games sporting venues including the main stadium that ...
Alicante airport was scary there was police everywhere checking cars coming in and out with shotguns in hand, it was very nerve racking driving up to them but they let us through - Boarding the plane was nice and quick we were all so tired ready for the long trip home!
What an amazing holiday it was been! Looking forward to planning our next after Christmas to Amsterdam

... Magani which was a very Spanish orientated restaurant, the food was lovely but the staff weren't the best after we headed over to the Irish Bar for cocktails and to try and plan out Tuesdays plans - Originally we were going to go to the safari park in santa pola but after figuring out without a car a taxi would cost us over 150 euros there and back aswell as 60 euros entry :( so we made different plans!
... we'd be pretty busy! Did some relaxing in Cambrils, and drove up to the next town called Salou, which is much bigger, but still a small tourist community - very nice place though with a fantastic long beach! Stayed in this area for 2 nights, pretty sleepy town, although lots of tourists, even at this time of year, before heading off to Barcelona, our last stop in Spain, and the relinquishing of the rental car (no way was Dave going to drive there!!) More on that in the next entry!
