... of the longer stays.

We took a walk into the local village, Capmany, this morning, found the cafè/bar and got an ice cream and found the deli and got lunch, a nice walk around the narrow streets before we headed back to the site. After lunch we had a game of pétanque and chilled out in the sun. This evening we will pack up ready for our move tomorrow for the first of our longer stays.

Next stop Benicassim, 260 miles. More to ...

From Girona we took a secondary road to Figueres, through pleasant farming country with views of some of the smaller Pyrenees outliers. Figueres is the birthplace of artist Salvador Dali and the place where he established his famous theatre museum. We walked the narrow cobblestone lanes, hemmed in by formidable ramparts. Human spirit was confined quite literally. We had intended to go out in the evening for tapas but the weight of travel and history (and our good lunch) depleted our resolve and we faded out early in Girona!
