      ... facing the street. My view was framed by telephone poles, wires and abandoned buildings. Great. The hotel was full but I was promised another room tomorrow. Forget it. Let's go to the bar, amigos. We eat dinner and have free drinks until about 10:30pm when I call it quits and return to my "suite". The smell was horrendous. I thought it was insecticide but it was mildew in the ac unit. I had to shut it off to stop it but now I have no windows or doors to open and it's hot. The ...

      I can't believe how much work it is to leave!! Packing sucks and I hate it and put it off as long as I can, but it always seems to get done in time! The furniture is in from the balconies and the fridge is empty, which is the way a trip begins - closing up and putting our life here on hold for 3 months. I am ready for this adventure to begin!

      ... very little. They smile and say Hola as you pass them on the street. They are beautiful people.

      Puerto Vallarta downtown is one happenin, squishy fun place. The streets are BUSY, everyone just seems to drive where they want, as a pedestrian, you have to be super careful and watch for the cars, they don't always watch for you.
