... tour, we saw a quieter part of Venice for a little bit, and some kids had their swimsuits on, and had just come out of the water. Obviously, it being a scorching day, our guide said it is not uncommon in residential areas even so. Fun facts: When George and Amal were married in a civil ceremony in Venice last year - that the city did not have a mayor, as he had just been arrested for corruption. Woops. I saw the 7 star hotel where they stayed. I didn't even ...

Got up early to take the launch for a lagoon cruise to the Venetian glass factory at Murano. We viewed the demonstration by the glass makers which was absolutely amazing and explained why the glass is so expensive. We viewed a vase and a beautiful glass horse being made. Returned to St Mark's Square to meet the ...

After meandering hours from side to end following the yellow direction signs we become blasť with the shopping and concentrate on the culinary delights offered.

... of the city that I'm sure will be blazed in my memory forever.

After the long journey home to Indiana, I can genuinely say I'm happy to be back. I realize no great experience like that can last forever. I'm happy to have also gotten the chance to spend New Year's at home in Evansville with my family and also to see some of my high school friends that I hadn't seen for nearly a year. Now I'm sitting back at my fraternity at Butler. It feels great to have been welcomed ...
