... to Venice. The familiar walk to the hotel was about an hour. My backpack got heavier with each step. My legs are killing me from the hikes. Dropped off our stuff and it was off to the Rialto area for gondola rides. The gondolier showed us several ponts of interest including Marco Polo's house. Ya sure it is. Other than questionable history skills, he was cool. The ride was about 20 min. We had gelato after. From here it was straight to supper. Pizzeria! I had ...

I heard a story a while back that as of a year or so ago no cruise ships were being allowed within the Venetian lagoon due to the impact the ship's wake had on the buildings and structures in the city. Approaching Venice we got word that we would be docking right in the city and we would be one of the last ships to do so. I am starting to think this is a bit of a myth that gets propagated out. ... with an Irish guy, there's no girls anywhere, he decides to leave. He leaves me with half of his bucket .... this isn't good. As you'd expect my memory of the following events isn't all there, trying to recall things that happened last night is harder than playing 'hungry hungry hippos' without the hippos! For some reason, after I make out with Jess, Ganzer walks over and does the same thing. I don't even bat an eye lid, this goes back and forth for a while until we get her into ...

... of Venice's finest handcrafted lace and materials.

Without getting lost again they caught the 6:00 p.m. vaporetta back to Piazza San Marco where they realised they had not yet been on a gondola ride. Something Battery Boy said was going to be too touristy for him but after the thirty minutes silently gliding through the canals giving another perspective of Venice he disembarked from the gondola confessing he enjoyed the whole experience. ...
