Light show at The Cathedral, Oaxaca
... br> The show began at 8:30.
It began with some very loud music and all the lights in the square went off. People gathered in the front of The Cathedral, and waited. Then the light show began.
It was a Christmas theme.
I have never seen anything like it. All the lights make a moving story to the music. The lights wove in and out of The Cathedral. It looked so "real".
I hope that the photos do it some justice!

The Christmas Spirit is very different for us this year. Looking forward to sharing new "traditions" and experiencing this holiday is a new way. I know that there will be no LACK of FIREWORKS! LOL.

This is a significant holiday in Mexico – the days off are similar to our Christmas Eve and Christmas day. November 1st celebrates the day that children died. November 2 is for the adults. On November 3 there is an equally large celebration with parades that send the spirits back to where they came.

The Museum starts from early 14 century. There is pottery , carvings, Military pictures,swords,
some very beautiful china with gold trim!!! Crystal goblets, Mexican cooking crocks, distillers.
Just about anything you can think of.

Later that afternoon, we went to go see a 2,000 year old tree in Tule which is a very small town but it was really beautiful.
