... just entered France. So here I am now in France, two days earlier than planned, on a site where I hadn't planned on staying, with a very sore foot. Actually its not as bad as it sounds. This site at Estavar is lovely, and is only 1km from a Spanish enclave (I had never heard of an enclave but it appears to be a town surrounded by France but still claiming to be Spanish). From my pitch next to a mountain stream bubbling down over rocks I can hear the ...

Pat and I both hit the ceiling a few times. For other reasons as well this had one the title of worst accommodation ...

... go to Spain in the warm, another go to Switzerland skiing, and another back to Ireland. There is such a variety of people here. Caroline and I gave an "apero" party for about 12 people. There was Jacques from Holland, Beatrice from Holland, Viv and Philip from England, George & Willeen from Ireland, Jen from Les Cabannes but originally from England, Martine & Mark, Shelley & Chris. We got up early today, and did a one and a half hour walk ...

Things are never dull for long here. There are always new people arriving, either owners of the other apartments or others arriving in the neighbourhood. An eclectic mix of English, Irish, Dutch with a smattering of French... oh and the builders are Spanish!!

I had a lovely Easter Sunday lunch at Cathy and Tony's who have an old mill house on the banks of the river. We were 8 for drinks and 6 for lunch. Rae has arrived. She is the friend who introduced ...
