... woke up three hours later (jet lag is going to be rough). We walked down to Solano Ave for an American dinner at Barney's burgers which is a local favorite. Tonight Weston is playing trains with grandpa, Vivian is stretching, Linda is on laundry, and Soren is getting the blogs in order. Very grateful to be back safely in this States. Found we were in the posh area , Cartier, Prada etc so didn't spend any money but worked up an appetite so decided to look for Penny at the Cheesecake Factory. The food was fabulous so we decided to ...

We had morning tickets for Alcatraz. After a 20 minute ferry ride we spent the next 3 hours touring the island. The history and stories of Alcatraz are interesting and erie! The 45 minute audio tour makes the walk through the cell block area a great history lesson of this place. There was a former inmate of Alcatraz there by the name of Bill Baker. He spent 4 ...
