Today was our final day at camp :(. The day started at 9:30 with some patrol games which included knot tying and trying to direct our team members blind folded. There was the fun fair set up with bouncy castles, fun fair food and craft activities. We were each given a list of crafts we had to do to earn the final charm on the bracelet we had been collecting ...

We also ate our sandwiches in a picturesque spot in the park. Some squirrels were chasing each ...

... and other bits of trivia. The second leg of the bus tour went into a bit more detail, talking about the big quake in 1909 and how the mayor set dynamite to an entire section of the city to create a firebreak after the fires had raged out of control for three days! The amount of houses that were more than 100 years old was astounding, as was the visual appeal of the new skyscrapers. Why do Aussie architects seem to go with the ...

What a great place to be for Mother's Day. Every person we came across wished me a happy Mother's Day. We got the hop on/ off bus to union square to have a look around. Found we were in the posh area , Cartier, Prada etc so didn't spend any money but worked up an appetite so decided to look for Penny at the Cheesecake Factory. The food was fabulous so we decided to ...
