... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

... down curfew, and off to bed we went. We woke to another beautiful day and the hotel had only one other couple in it. We couldn't believe how empty it was. We got free access to the thermal lake 5 minutes walk away and were blown away by the beauty. The hot water in the lake the immaculate but almost empty facility. There are all these little accoutrements which arrive like pink sparkling wine, 6 varieties of breads & our order of risotto, fish, were all delectable. The dessert fans (Michael and Ruth) were disappointed they were too full for dessert, but the waiter bought out lemoncello grappa and a plate of Italian biscotti- some small compensation foe them.
