... still holds many mysteries for me, but there is one thing that is immediately obvious: their hospitality. In the street, strangers will rarely acknowledge your existence, but if they know you, they will bend over backwards to do absolutely anything for you, no matter the imposition to themselves. They gladly open their homes and rearrange their lives to accommodate family, friends, or even friends of family. The lengths they will go to knows no ...

Just the two of us on the way down. We find the girls and the funeral has finally finished, but they did have to overstay their time in the carpark while waiting for the hearse to move. Back home via the car ferry and Bellagio again where we enjoy a dinner of cheese, salami, bread, olives etc. and ...

... and we visited on a day trip. The second was on our honeymoon when we spent 10 days in northern Italy after 10 days sunbathing in the Seychelles. Clearly, we love this tiny midevil town.

Our day was spent wandering through town. A pizza lunch in a small shady square, visiting the churches, splashing in the fountain, and generally having a good time. Late in the afternoon, Tom went to a nearby mall to buy a new camera as he managed to leave ours at home. While he ...
