... Can't see much from this hotel, but tomorrow we shall Romeo and Juliet to our hearts content.

Epilogue: Connor was just watching tv and there on the screen, coming to us live from Milan, is a huge open air rock concert. Right in front of the Duomo. That explains all the sound equipment we saw in the cathedral today - we had just through they got big crowds there for mass. Lucky we didn't get caught in that - methinks the Aunties would not have been impressed

... in the town square, on the sides of roads and under hotels. All very charming.
After a morning coffee, we headed back to the hotel for lunch and a siesta. Later that afternoon we went for a walk about the streets near our hotel, and then ate a good Italian meal at a local restaurant. Finished the day with a gelato sitting by the lake, watching the boats bobbing about in the marina. A truly lovely day.

Off to Milan tomorrow and then Verona. Liking Italy more and ...

All work done by 9am, but raining all morning, but can see it is clearer out west, so at first sign of a bak will be heading off. Which turned out to be at 10am.

I must thank Luigi for his hours of work to get all that done within a day, and being such a great host, making sure I had somewhere to stay, driving me around, etc....

... It is very elegant and reminded me of a lesser version of the opera house in Vienna. The theater had a chandelier to remember. It also have a nice museum that contained original artifacts from past plays and other memorabilia. Next we walked over to Via Dante, the main shopping street in Milan. I browsed in a few of the shops to look around. The street is very scenic and has a great view of Sforza Castle, which we visited later in the day. From there we walked back to ...
