We spent our last 2 nights about 20 mins out of town at a little hostel in the mountains called earth lodge which was super cool.       ... to Mexican waiter if I am sweating up a storm and ask for a cafe something is wrong... Very very wrong I sent out another million emails and received some shocking responses asking me to work 8 hours a day for a dorm bed... (I told him his dreamin) but also received a few good ones. I have an interview/chat with an owner today for a job in a new hostel right near the beach which looks super cool. fingers are crossed. Wish me luck ...

      ... and managed to cut nearly an hour off our return run to the border. We found ourselves the only customers again and the officials on both sides matched their previous record setting performance in clearing Team Elephant out and in. We charged back up the Mex 190 on our way to San Cristobal de las Casas feeling, bizarrely, as though we had come home from a trip away. I pondered on this for a while before deciding that we must have settled into Mexico pretty well.

So we decided I should do it alone and considering we were paid up thru the week at the studio, Jaime was more than happy to hang out with Nev while I explored the backwaters for waves.
