We reach Equinox II, and we're full of relief when we find that she is looking just fine, apart from about an inch of dust all over the boat. We were situated near a road at the edge of the Marina, and there had been lots and lots of road works and excavation works in the area whilst we were away (and is still happening), so everything was covered in dust.

Always the humble victor, I picked up my beloved shades and cupped them gently in my hands. I was dubious as to whether I could have my Serengetis restored and fit for wear. To my surprise, within minutes I had manipulated those twisted frames back to their original shape. They were as good as new!

We had several lovely meals at the resort restaurant, met the local Iguanas which roamed freely within the outdoor restaurant and were free to use the private beach along the front of the resort, which sits amid fabulous snorkelling grounds.

We also took the opportunity to hire a car and have a good look around the island and we were very surprised with the landscape ...

... og ville esel reservater samt salt sletter syd på øya. De ville eslene ser man spankulere fritt over det meste av øya og gjerne midt i bilveien, så en må være svært obs på de sta firbeinte når man sitter bak rattet. De vil gjerne ha kos og godbiter, så ser man i deres rettning med et smil i ansiktet og noen koselige ord kommer de garantert strenende håpefult mot deg.
