Wish I’d continued a little further yesterday to Nancy Green Pr Pk. It’s small but a gorgeous spot and excellent trails along both sides of the lake. Oh well, next time ...

Drove as far as Grand Forks just to see the place, but went back to Christina Lake to spend the night. Enjoyed a delicious Lemon Pie Ice Cream cone before cleaning up the van for the border crossing tomorrow. Wouldn't want to have any uncooked potatoes or carrots, you know!!!

... ready to shred. There wasn't much of a village, just diner and ticketing office. The lifts seemed a lot more old school and harder to get on because they were smaller. We all went boarding and absolutely loving the deep powder under us! First run Allana left the pack and we all got worried because we couldn't find her and we had no reception. We were happy to see her safe at the end of the day! The snow was pretty wet so we all were quite drenched by the end of the day ...

... br> Red put in a new lift on the granite mountain side this season and we were keen to try it, the terrain over there was a little dissapointing to be honest and the lift you guessed it an old lift from somewhere that again was slow.

We would definitely be keen to try Red again when there was snow, the town was really cool and the people were lovely, you could tell it was a tight knit community and everyone is right into their skiing.

Another cold, windy and cloudy day in Waterton but still sad to leave. All good things must come to an end and so we head west towards Vancouver and the long flight home. The drive followed the Crowsnest Highway. Went through a place called Bellevue where there had been a huge landslide that wiped out the whole town. The rocks are enormous and cover a huge area from where we think they came from. Both the road and the railway have been built ...

... the end of the day we packed everything into the Pathfinder and made our way on to Nelson which was about an hour down the road. The Whitewater ski resort is very close to Nelson and Mark & Jeff had such a great time there last year we couldn't resist. Also we have some more snow in the forecast and Whitewater tends to get roughly double the amount of snow that Red Mountain gets so things are looking good for more pow. Stay tuned...
