Wish I’d continued a little further yesterday to Nancy Green Pr Pk. It’s small but a gorgeous spot and excellent trails along both sides of the lake. Oh well, next time ...

Drove as far as Grand Forks just to see the place, but went back to Christina Lake to spend the night. Enjoyed a delicious Lemon Pie Ice Cream cone before cleaning up the van for the border crossing tomorrow. Wouldn't want to have any uncooked potatoes or carrots, you know!!!

      ... actually came to GF.

The boys hung out at the local Legion Hall while I perused a local boutique in a building that the Anderson family previously owned. The evening ended with dinner at the Andersons', which included Gregg's parents, GreBecky, Andrew and I and another friend of the family who happened to be visiting. All in all, a lovely way to get to know a place!

... br> Red put in a new lift on the granite mountain side this season and we were keen to try it, the terrain over there was a little dissapointing to be honest and the lift you guessed it an old lift from somewhere that again was slow.

We would definitely be keen to try Red again when there was snow, the town was really cool and the people were lovely, you could tell it was a tight knit community and everyone is right into their skiing.

... the end of the day we packed everything into the Pathfinder and made our way on to Nelson which was about an hour down the road. The Whitewater ski resort is very close to Nelson and Mark & Jeff had such a great time there last year we couldn't resist. Also we have some more snow in the forecast and Whitewater tends to get roughly double the amount of snow that Red Mountain gets so things are looking good for more pow. Stay tuned...

... to snowshoe around and started to head up to the Sunspot Cabin but instead of continuing on up to the cabin, we took another, lower path and just walked along that for a bit. No real destination. We thought there was a cabin around but didn't really know where so just turned around eventually. On the way back, however, Adam invented yet another sport: Freestyle Snowshoeing. Yes folks, get ready! It's going to be ...
