Wish I’d continued a little further yesterday to Nancy Green Pr Pk. It’s small but a gorgeous spot and excellent trails along both sides of the lake. Oh well, next time ...

Drove as far as Grand Forks just to see the place, but went back to Christina Lake to spend the night. Enjoyed a delicious Lemon Pie Ice Cream cone before cleaning up the van for the border crossing tomorrow. Wouldn't want to have any uncooked potatoes or carrots, you know!!!

... the Cat up the hill. It was a bumpy ride and it was good to experience what cat skiing would be like. We all pretty much quit early and went back in. Most the boys were already drunk from hitting the bar again! Twisty bought $400 worth of alcohol for a big party bus on the way home. Lots of drinking and singing to songs lol. We made it home safely :) Allana's friend Amelia was at our place who arrived from Vancouver that day. She is spending the next 5 days with us. Lovely ...

... br> Red put in a new lift on the granite mountain side this season and we were keen to try it, the terrain over there was a little dissapointing to be honest and the lift you guessed it an old lift from somewhere that again was slow.

We would definitely be keen to try Red again when there was snow, the town was really cool and the people were lovely, you could tell it was a tight knit community and everyone is right into their skiing.

    Day Twenty-seven : Christina Lake

... Christina Lake, a big lake that apparently is the warmest lake in Canada so it never freezes. Walked down to the lake, and yes, the water was warmish, particularly in comparison with Waterton Lake. This is a summer location with holiday homes just about all round the lake and only a small permanent population. Most places are closed and the place we went to dinner is operating on reduced days and will close over Dec/Jan. One more travel day ...

... the end of the day we packed everything into the Pathfinder and made our way on to Nelson which was about an hour down the road. The Whitewater ski resort is very close to Nelson and Mark & Jeff had such a great time there last year we couldn't resist. Also we have some more snow in the forecast and Whitewater tends to get roughly double the amount of snow that Red Mountain gets so things are looking good for more pow. Stay tuned...
