... opulence now). Food fantastic as they prepared a late lunch on our arrival Saturday.
Sunday saw us leave Trento following city exploration and head west to Valle Felicita/Monte Grappa - again - as base for Venice. Passing Lago Calazzona which was picturesque we travelled through myriad of tunnels again to arrive in our favourite little town for another 2 nights stay with Sebastiano and ...

This morning we visited casa di capuleti or Juliet's house as we know it. This is where the movie letters to Juliet was filmed one of my favourite movies!! It also brought back many memories of when I played the leading role in the school play. We also visited her tomb and were closely followed by the security lady presumably to check we didn't write on the walls as so many people had done ...

Not a great lover of heights. Off to the bar now for a well earned ...

Friday 9th Jan - our last full day in Italy. We didn't want to hang around in Milan for the day so we caught the train to Verona, and so glad we did. Verona is a main tourist city that sits on the Adige river. It's popular because of the artistic heritage, roman ruins, fairs and operas. A couple of the major attractions are the Arena and The house of Juliet with that famous balcony featured in Shakespeare's ...

... the next... About 35 minutes and a rather big circle later we sat ourselves down at a rather quiet little seafood restaurant. A couple of mix ups later, most of us had enjoyed our food but Mum and Tan were still waiting on theirs and it was getting to the point where they were over it and about to cancel the order. The sudden appearance of the missing food, the standard of the missing food (AMAZING seafood pasta) and a complimentary round of limoncello for the table had ...
