... again sank! After some air from a local Khmer guy, attempt number three took us paddling out to sea, and wow the results were worth it. Millions of glowing plankton - it was incredible. The other highlight staying at Coral Bay was the freshly prepared French food every lunch and evening. We ate very well, and it made a nice change from eating rice and noodles! Steady wind about 50mph with gusts exceeding 100!!! The ensuing rainstorm makes the 2 hour trip on the small boat a struggle for survival, let us reiterate a HUGE struggle for the seasoned travel sick , D and Kr. Even with the sympathy of our new Belgian ...

Another day in paradise

... other is quite an interesting sensation. The pounding of the rain on the water is a sight not to miss. This is followed by a Baywatch-style jog on the beach. With all the rain our big plans to explore the island and hike to the lighthouse literally fall into the water (German is our (ok 2/3 of us) mother tongue, give us a break). Instead we trek through the jungle to reach a sunset lookout point. While we wait for nature's spectacle we practise our posing and shooting ...
