... the ride was smooth as anything - this was reinforced as we looked at the flyer given to us with the bike which stated no more than 100kg per bike! We headed for a walk down the beach which was okay - we'd heard that Langkawi had been made for tourism and the beach certainly seemed that way. ... in duty free shops all over the place. From our very quick look at the town here from the taxi I think I am going to like being here. It looks like an upmarket, cleaner version of Kota Kinabalu. The main strip has heaps of restaurants - Malay, Thai, Chinese and Indian, reflecting the cultural make up of the island. Looking forward to going to the beach ...
... and friends would also come down, we had some great nights.
The boys would have a bit of a TT round the island on their bikes and thankfully all was safe, I always really worried about them, but if a big night was going on there would be cars around.
