Train one hour out to varenna on lake como. Weather fine again, lake is clear n blue. Varenna is small village across from Bellagio. Very cute on hill side, ferry takes you across to other villages. Birthday celebrations in the mountains
Morning was cloudy and cool - about 4°. We went to breakfast at Muellers as it was Fides' birthday today. Great spread to start the day. Rang Omi and she also spoke with Fides and Andrea. She was pleased to hear we were having a great time with family.

Bellissimo Bellagio
... we would have had no chance of making it back to Andrea's house without her. Saw the old village square/piazza, community washing tub and a number of outstanding viewing points on different tracks about the village.
