... br> We are picking the hire vehicle up today, something that I am really nervous about, however I am really glad that its Chicago I have to drive it round and not New York, the traffic in New York was insane, here it is A LOT calmer. Its still big roads and busy though, but its a Sunday, so hopefully that will work in my favor too. Not sure when the next entry will be but tomorrow we are heading to St Louis in Missouri, hopefully we will be able to put something up then.

I was tense the whole way there, contemplated getting off and grabbing a cab as it was only about 7 km to the airport, but then knowing we had to find a cab, and then make sure it had a big enough boot space for our luggage, I thought it would just be easier to stay on the bus. We got to the airport at 6:17 am as expected - at least the buses run on time - and we 'hussled' our way through the airport, into the lift, up to terminal A, to the end ...
... and nervously followed Carlo to meet his family. Mario, Alicia, Sandra, and Miguel Angel were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, embracing me and kissing me on the cheek like I was long lost family. We ventured out into the nearly plaza to find somewhere to eat. Because the family has lived in this area for so long, they knew many of the people we passed in the streets, and greeted them all. Carol seemed to think this would be more effect or for them too, but it is an "off the shelf" tool that they don't have the capacity to change at the moment. ... travelling on a motorway alongside Lake Michigan. After a while we realised that the Lake was on our right. And according to our map it should have been on the left. Yup, we'd got the right numbered bus but going in the wrong direction. The next stop was a good couple of miles further on so we got off and travelled back the way we had come.
