Chinese Living Conditions. Of everything else, how the Chinese live made most of an impact on me (and maybe touched us most on this trip by way of the toilet facilities!). The next day Ryan had to work so we hung out with Jen and had a quiet morning. Then we played some minigolf (Sarah won) before going out to meet Ryan's parents and Keeley for dinner. We had a great night. Ryans parents are lovely and his mum bought us our own Blackhawk jerseys as a present!!

thanks for all the times I carried him up the stairs. Needless to say, I
couldn’t help but shed a tear at that moment. Another example of his
generosity came when we gave him his first ever ice cream cone and all
he wanted to do was share it with me out of thanks. The same thing
happened with his first burger, popcorn, French fries… ...
... but both were closed. The majority of the other attractions (if you can call them that - tourist shops selling the same stuff touristy items - 'I heart CHI' tops, other Chicago labelled clothing and your usual knock knacks; heaps of chain food shops like McDonald's, Bubba Gump, Cinnabon etc. Heaps of candy shops, a couple of bars and IMAX. Apart from visiting the pier for it's actual purpose, or to go on the Ferris wheel or IMAX, it's not really worth it. ...
... and time consuming agriculture detour where they threatened to fine me $500 for my citrus contraband - yeesh). He was sure a sight for sore eyes and looked great (and so clean!). I looked (and possibly smelled) like I needed a shower - a LONG one :)
As we drove home from the airport, I asked Tom - why all the traffic??? He looked at me funny and said traffic was actually really light today. Makes sense - I hadn't been ...
