    May 28 El Nicho Mountains and ponds hike, El Nicho is about 90 minutes from Cienfuegos in the mountains the temp dropped from 33C to 28C and was very pleasant. We parked and hiked in to the mountains passing a nice clear swimming pond with a water fall then to another then up to past a beautiful waterfall to a larger pond at the top. We all stripped off and jumped into the cool mountain water and swam for about 45 minutes enjoying the cool ...

    ... orders his helping hand to dig into the boxes in back to find “the old type of cable”. While he talks with me about the Holland of Rubens, tulips, strong economy and more (he knows quite a lot about Holland) a cable emerges for $4. A hefty price, but at least I don’t have to worry about charging my batteries. Even in Cuba the old Chinese shop is the place to find what you need.
