W towarzystwie bladych neonow wyglada niczym Drag Queen przed pojsciem spac o poranku. Ni to pies, ni to wydra ...
Ridgecrest, California, United States wrodarWe've been on the road for a couple days now with the grandparents in a HUGE motorhome. I've been doing more than my fair share of sleeping, but the surrounding area is gorgeous. I learned how valuable having a toilet you can use while still moving is, as well as how cold it can be near Reno in the fall. Last night we stayed in the Washoe Lake campground in Nevada and it was sooo cold in the ...
Inyokern, California, United States ashleyandustinHello all, We made it to the desert! Tomorrow we will go into the Death Valley and onto Vegas on Monday. Given the distances and that it is Columbus Day weekend (even though Columbus was never close to US) we are taking precautions and getting closer. We also avoided camping as there are strong winds. Not much to add today...just a drive and rest day. Cheerio
Ridgecrest, California, United States roadster76... made at the last minute. John and Susan Fisher for an amazing start to my trip, making me laugh, being extremely accomodating and generous, and for stopping in New Caledonia. Most of the couch surfers who gave advice, hung out, let me stay, and showed me around. Caroline's family for welcoming me for the holidays and for being so nice. Caroline for teaching me French, flying halfway around the world, the many laughs, and so much more ...
Ridgecrest, California, United States g_shook... can´t say that i saw a lot of weird stuff. I did see something really sad however. This man was lying on the ground near muscle beach sort of on his face and no one was doing anything about it or seemed to care. Karen and i went to the muscle beach office and asked the staff there to call someone to help this guy. They said they would but 'there are a lot of bums around'. That attitude ...
Los Angeles, California, United States ilovetravel0... for a bit but then i had a brainwave....so we set off for Beverley Hills and Rodeo Drive.... right down the biggest meanest hill that LA had to offer us. Fortunately at the bottom there was a shop where we could take on liquid as it must ave been 200 degrees out there as the sweat was dripping of me. Amy chose a slush puppie like drink which was a combination of cherry, apple and something extremely wierd, thankfully it tasted just fine and was a grateful relief as we sat ...
Los Angeles, California, United States neilandamy... and very convincing knock-offs of brand-name clothing, purses, and other accesories--or so we're told =). Better hurry though, beacuse pressure from U.S. trade representatives on Chinese officials to abide by copyright and intellectual property laws will undoubtedly curtail this illegal activity by the time the 2008 Summer Olympics are hosted. [Runner-ups: Vietnamese and Thai merkets.] Best pizza: Fire and Ice Pizzeria, Kathmandu, Nepal. Improbable but true, pizza that rivals ...
