Thankfully we both appear to be finally adjusting to the timezone, and indeed we slept in past breakfast this morning - lovely! The intense weather (which had been mid 30's - over 40 in Osoyoos where we were last week!) finally broke with a storm, so it was quite refreshing to be out and about today.

We were up early on New Years Eve to make a start on the 1.5 hour drive to Drumheller. This is an area where many dinosaur remains have been found and there is a great museum there. It was a nice sunny day and it was an easy drive there. The dinosaur exhibits are great, and we learnt a lot about what went on many millions of years ago!

By the time we got home, it was time for a wine... then we made the best ever homemade ...

Morning: 7 C (Dallas-sunny & few thin clouds) Afternoon: 4 C (Calgary-overcast & snow) Talked to the front desk clerk who told me there is a NASCAR event this weekend as well as a Dallas Cowboys football game that filled the hotel up. We were wakened by a fire alarm in the hotel at 12:45 AM. As we were getting prepared to exit our room the alarm was shut off. Karen could hear down the hall that someone had pulled the alarm and was found to be ...
