        What a view!

I stopped here based on a recommendation from the attendant at Pancake Bay. The single room was excellent and with a CAA discount was $104. I took pictures of the sunset until all my batteries died. I can see the lake and sunset from my bed - what a view!

And we headed North through the Upper Michigan Peninsula with one objective, to see the "Colours".

And we did a pure symphony delivered to our eyes, reddish hills offered to an ephemere concerto of singing colors that is sometimes difficult to believe.

Hi all! Currently on a plane over to Boston -- the last plane I'll be on before flying to Munich next week. Every time I think of my upcoming trip I get indescribably anxious. The countdown is on, and I'm at six days. Six days in Boston until flying to Germany. Yikes! ...

You might think by reading this blog that two of our biggest activities is doing laundry and grocery shopping. Sometimes we think so too. But that's what we (Camille) did today. We also did some boat clean-up and maintenance. We are trying to get the boat ready for lay-up as we go so that when we get to Hessel we won't have so much to do. We've got ...

Day of Driving with Some Swimming Required

A travel blog entry by on Aug 21, 2011

Today was relatively relaxed though it was a long driving day. We got up and had a last visit with Theresa and Chris in the morning before heading for the car and out of Montreal. By noon we were well past Ottawa and on route towards Sudbury. Only stopping for lunch and gas a couple of times we made great time, being it was a Sunday and traffic and construction were at a minimum. ...

Terrace Bay to Bruce Mines, ON

Good morning Terrace Bay! It's been drizzling on and off all night, and it's quite foggy this morning. I'm writing from a bench in the fog, which is setting on my screen, it's the most gentle way to clean it from all the dust it accumulated so far. The resident bear didn't show up last night, or if it did nobody was made aware of ...
