      What a view!

I stopped here based on a recommendation from the attendant at Pancake Bay. The single room was excellent and with a CAA discount was $104. I took pictures of the sunset until all my batteries died. I can see the lake and sunset from my bed - what a view!

... food was plentiful. Supper break was taken in Bruce Mines, ON a sleepy little Lake Huron shore town with a great waterfront and marina. The best looking mom and pop restaurant was "bobbers" and it did not disappoint. Great pie! After years of listening to Michiganders rave about perogies, we found them on the menu acquired taste? or a cardiologist's dream food? ...

... thankfully had sunlight the whole day. I will mainly be following highway 17 to get to Ottawa, but if the rest of the road is like today I will likely need to find an alternate route. Very little shoulder and consistent traffic made for a day of rather chaotic riding. I got photos of a recommended bike route for most of the way and will consider following it tomorrow. My warmshowers host for the evening initially was not able to host me due to him and his wife being out ...

Today was relatively relaxed though it was a long driving day. We got up and had a last visit with Theresa and Chris in the morning before heading for the car and out of Montreal. By noon we were well past Ottawa and on route towards Sudbury. Only stopping for lunch and gas a couple of times we made great time, being it was a Sunday and traffic and construction were at a minimum. ...

Terrace Bay jusqu'à Bruce Mines, ON
