... After lunch we visit the other granddaughter who is at horse riding for the afternoon. Then it's off to the shops in Lugano. The only thing I wanted to see if we could find was the Brezel shop where Kerrie,Robert and I had the best lunch ever last year on the tour. Found it! ... br> We then took the 20 minute car ferry journey over to Bellagio, which is said to be the most beautiful village on the lake.

It did have some lovely cobbled streets and some fantastic large private villas. We stopped for a late lunch and the best bowl of pasta we have had so far.

Into early evening we made our wasy back down the other side of the lake to Como, and then back to Milan.

Our hotel served a wonderful breakfast buffet with the gorgeous view of the lake. The lake was cut by a glacier and is 1200 feet deep. It's a beautiful teal blue color and there are swans and ducks all around. We caught the 10 am shuttle into Bellagio central and bought a "hop-on-hop-off" ticket for the ferries that constantly cross cross the ...

... drinking, reading, and generally playing rich european socialite lifestyles - which, I must say, we do rather well. It was a bit bothersome though raising our glasses to the tourists every time a ferry went past. The pic's speak for themselves! Just off to the local restaurant for dinner tonight - review to follow. A bit nervous about negotiating all those steps in the dark, on the way ...
