... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

... was beautiful architecture there, we didn't stay long. Pretty much just spent the night and took the next train to Milan. We chilled in Milan for the day, did some shopping, (Milan is one of the fashion capitals of the world after all!) and met some absolutely wonderful girls on the street. Was good to have a quick lay down and a shower. It wasn't too long till I was down at the hotel bar, having a beer and watching the rugby union semi final between NZ and ...

... ridden up Sacro Monte in Varese, made myself "Insalata Caprese" (my new go to salad) ran on a 400m track (to my relief there were no rules only a careless bunch of kids playing soccer on the infield), swam in Lago di Monate and been pulled over by the police when our cycling group almost rode onto the Autostrada (big highway)! All these experiences put together have ensured that my time away continues to fly ...

On the bus to Lagura Switzerland, free time for coffee and shopping in the markets. Weather is very cold here. We took the bus to the cable car up the mountain called Monte Tamaro. Beautiful views on the way up of the valley below, snow on the alps here. We had a set lunch menu and a walk around at the top, threw ...
