Carolina Punta Cana

Hello!!<br>I am Bianca Roldan and I would like to share with you my new experience in the DR.<br>You will never finish to discover it.....the beach, the sun, the coconuts...all is fantastic....and people much more! ahhh...they are amazing.<br>I stayed just for one week but it is enough time for be part of the Dominican spirit.<br>I went to Saona Island and I met a lot of friends, local and internation...we enjoyed ...

... is so thick and the water so blue and clear, that we can't help but say "this is so awesome/cool/beautiful/neat/incredible" over and over and over again. After swimming in about 4 of the 11 lagoons we head back to find the group.<br><br>The evening passes as so: pool and dinner at La Tortuguita (cafeteria food for employees...pretty good, but apparently Sundays are not their best). Afterward, we head to the beach to lounge in the hammocks by the ocean ...

... as much as I did. Then they slide you through a line to pay $10 USD for a "tourist" tax. After which a very bored looking woman stamps your passport and takes your Customs slip and voila! You're livin la vida loca in the DR.<br><br> So I grab my bag and find myself hustled by one of literally 40 guys waiting to carry tourists to their hotels. Thank god I had set up for a driver from the airport through the Ecological Foundation ...

Fui en el autobus a el Parque Nacional del Este. Fui a acampar en el parque y fui a pescar en el agua. Fui a subir en las arboles. Fue a estar fenomenal. Fui a ver los animales. Muchos iguanas en la Republica de Dominicana. La Republica de Dominicana tiene muchos animales. En el Parque Nacional del Este, fui a comer bocadillos.

... the service was not so great and that could be due to the size of it and having to deal with so many people. I wrote a review on the hotel on trip advisor, as its my review it's my opinion on the hotel, some people like it, others not so much, that's the way life goes! ... on the spot. I like to call them the 4 stooges. Theodore, Caesar, Pablo &amp; Xavier invited us along to their room and there we got to know each other a little over plenty of beer &amp; rum. Theodore won a credit card contest and brought along a friend and his 2 other close friends decided to come along and well here they are. We now have some new friends from Ecuador who are really fun! Day 3 MONDAY - Oy! Talk about HANG OVER CENTRAL! We slept in until 2:30 ...

Just a few weeks after we got back from Europe, we took another drip down to the Dominican Republic. We stayed in Punta Cana for a few days and, in a complete departure from our Europe trip, did essentially nothing. We went scuba diving, enjoyed the beautiful beaches, and ...

... sure I will not feel out of place again...I learned a lot of lessons after this trip - I'd say that is the only savings grace...<br><br>I know I won't stay at another Club Med - very disappointed in it. And despite my horrible time I cannot really blame DR for the bad time, as I didn't even leave the resort - but the bad taste has been left and I will just never go back! <br>

... things really started to bother me. The hotel really tries to get you to interact with staff and other guests - which just really isn't my style. I don't like to make small talk and I don't like to be put into these situations...Well, at club med they sit you at large tables with guests and their staff also comes to sit with you as well.<br><br>We were the only guests there in our ...

... and I had to fight with the airline to wait for her as she had FINALLY arrived and was trying to get past security. I had to threaten to not get on the plane unless she was there in order to get them to wait the extra 2 minutes - luckily she got there and we were able to continue on our way. <br><br>When we arrived we checked into Club Med.
