Aujourd'hui ce termine mon aventure en Italie! Mais quelle aventure de reve! La quantites de choses que j'ai apprise, les idees que j'ai acquises et surtout les gens que j'ai connu ont fait de ce voyage un moment inoubliable ! I just left Milano where I took my last course of coffee and I loved it ! ... building at about 12:02. Parking in Europe is rather comical, you can essentially park anywhere that has open pavement, or is somewhat out of the way. Remember all of the cars here are tiny, so they jam those little cars into tight spots everywhere. We drove up & down the street two times before finding a spot. Then ran to the front desk to alert the receptionist of our arrival. We were in the wrong building! Thank goodness the front desk woman spoke english, and was able to ...

Museum at Academia for a bit of culture- lots of painting of last supper that were rescued(?) from churches in town. Some really old 14c stuff and some more recent restored items. Amazing brushwork and huge alter pieces some with bible stories that were new to me. Spent arvo wandering lanes and canals. Pizza at same restaurant. ...

... courtyard. Joggers run around exterior, probably 1km lap. For a country that's supposed to be in recession there isn't much indication of poverty or lack of spending money. Pizza and beer in bar near hotel for lunch- good thin crunchy crust and veg filling. Nice beer too - not the usual Moretti. 20€ Wandered around Porta Venezia in arvo- lots shops along Via Buenos Aires. Closed in am ...

... for the 250 steps. We opted for the stairs and definitely got our money's worth. Although the chamber-esque ascent to the top was sure to produce feelings of claustrophobia, the viewpoints from each level of the climb were spectacular. Seeing that much detail on each spire of the Duomo isn't something that can easily be put into words. We finally arrived at the very top of the Duomo and it was magnificent.
