... I yelled out 'mamma mia’, much to David’s amusement sitting quite a distance away from me. Finally the door shut at which everyone on the bus let out a cheer :)

Arrived at the car hire offices and of course everyone attempted to RUN off the bus to avoid waiting in a long queue. We resigned ourselves to the wait and David joined the line, hmmmm this was gonna take a while!

... cooked right in front of our eyes and the chef let us take a picture to prove it. Emma had a really good looking pasta. We sat on one of the benches and ate our meals before getting really yummy iced wine smoothies (our version of Italian wine) which we drunk whilst playing cards. ... MORE) but I won't spoil them for you. We continued with the tour to the main church and the castle of the area (crazy Dukes and their lavish homes). And while they are notable things in Milan, it's everything just a let down after the last supper? Well half the group thought so because they ditched. We finished off the day by viewing the rest of the museum (after the tour guide finished) and having our final official dinner in Italy. Sad ...

... La Pieta Rondanini. Unfortunately he died before he was able to finish it, but it was neat to see the "process" of creating this kind of masterpiece. We then left to go to the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, which holds the Last Supper, also by da Vinci. Even though it has been restored several times it was still in fairly bad shape but it was still amazing to see. They had prison-like ...
