... yey!

We left Mindoro for Boracay. First in a Jeepni, truck like bus (see pics). Unfortunately we got a flat tyre 10 mins into the white knuckle ride. We got turfed out at the next town and hopped into a van for a 3 hour journey to Roxhas. Jumped onto a ferry at Roxhas take took 4 hours to get to Caticlan, Panay. Only then a short boat ride to Boracay…...

... the wall, pictures of Jesus everywhere,a lamp with no plug attached, but the best was the tv. Black and white with a turn dial instead of buttons!!! Old school!!! We woke early and
decided to do a snorkelling trip, quickly finding a local boatman
Ninoy who was willing to take us out for the morning. He charged us
900P for the trip (about 12) which included a couple of snorkelling
stops and getting dropped off at White Beach, a few coves around the

... Sabang for the past 12 years and recommended we walk about an hour up a very steep dirt road to visit the Mangyan tribe, which means mountain people. Anyways Sunday afternoon we took Chuck’s advice and made the sweaty hike up to see the tribe.
