... and other art surrounding it. It was being renovated while we were there. The indoor pool is designed after a roman bath, once again stunning. One other interesting note, in it's day the castle housed one of the largest zoos in North America as Hearst was an animal lover. It was a great day at the castle.

Camping up the California coast began in Refugio State Park. It was definitely a little different then we had drawn up in are heads, but in the end we chalked it up for 4 days of urban camping right outside of Santa Barbra. We find a place to park and take a walk on the pier. It's now about 6 pm, the evening is clear, warm and perfect for taking a walk. The small town section has some very cute restaurants, shops, and bars facing the ocean, very cool! We head back to our campground and watch TV, then go to bed ...

... the same clothes. ;) Finally headed home after 8. We were too exhausted to worry about dinner so we stopped at In-N-Out. I guess a trip to CA isn't complete without a stop there. I think the people in the drive thru thought we were silly with all the Gerome pics we took while we waited. Friday we have an appointment at 8 to get Robin's oil changed so we were in bed by 10 which is the earliest I've been in bed since I got here. Beach tomorrow to even out the tan!! ...
