          ... the Canadian Support Unit in Geilenkirchen. Dan and I served together in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia back in the mid-90s.

          Our next blog will feature some photos around their little town of Gilrath and of the Roach family.
          Apparently we can even FT from their home so once I post this blog, I may try a quick FT with some folks.

          Take care and by the way, they do have Indian summers in Europe too - amazing weather - high teens and going to 18C tomorrow. Stay warm!!!

          ... drive through Belgium and be in France! Considering when at home it would take us about 9 or 10 hours just to drive to a different state, it still kind of boggles the mind to think you could easily drive through a number of different countries in just a few hours.

          ... watched some telly.  Funniest home videos is actually funny over here! In order to gain your teacher certification you have to finish the bachelor degree before they can become a full time teacher in the schooling system. A number of these graduates then complete the masters course enabling them to teach upper secondary. For students second guessing their carer opportunities after completing their degree such as designers they are now pursuing teaching and enjoying it.

          Kathleen, Pamela and I had a very uneventful flight from Ottawa to Frankfurt (always a good to have an uneventful flight), arrived at midnight Ottawa time, 6am Frankfurt time. We had breakfast at the airport (McDonald's of all places), and waited for our 9:30 train to Eindhoven. Train trip was about 4.5 hours! great way to see the countryside, very green, rolling farm land in between the cities, the trains ...
