Finals & Fun, Day 1! [Day 86]
... really obvious, so I hope it's all right. One more eight-page essay and a test tomorrow evening - everyone else seems to be done with finals already and I am ridiculously jealous! Also, I've had so much chocomelk today and I love it.

Well, It's a Winter Wonderland [Day 85]
... walked around the castle and then to New Well for some snow admiration and shopping. The afternoon was 1914 study group in Barbetta, dinner, more studying, then 9:30 snacks in Sophie's. Dojna snuck in, dropped off oranges, apple slices (GOOD apple slices, too, not what they have in the dining hall), and a heavenly thing called sugar bread.

Next we agreed to attempt to see Potsdam - a small town on the outside of Berlin with a Castle :) An hour later we arrived only to see that the castle was too far of a hike for us to see so instead we wondered around the town to see a cathedral, a war memorial and to discover these duck like birds all black with a white beak. Mon/Tues/Wed Week 2
... tea (very popular here, but we're not fans). In the evening we went for a walk into Markt, the central shopping area. It was very nicely lit up with christmas decorations and lights in the trees. We had a yummy dinner at a cafe bistro on the main square - traditional dutch 'Krokets' and a mixed grill platter, plus beer. It was very enjoyable, but we won't be able to eat out every night (bit expensive).
