Day 1 in Paris

Early start waking up at 6am to find it pitch dark. The sun did not come up until 7am and after a shower went down for breakfast at 8am of a bucket of coffee and a fresh baguette with jam. Brings back memories of 30 years ago. Why don't baguettes taste so good at home?

Later on we sneak across the road to the back packers pub for a cheap drink and to listen to some music. Beer in Aus is quite expensive, around $9 for a pint!
