    Who'd have thought that a crossroads town in Nevada would roll up the sidewalks at 10 pm?!

    Very hot. Garmin read 42•c in sun. Pretty canyon pass and surrounded by mountains which were snow capped. Long roads and more I80. Feel I earned the Dairy Queen stop and one ice cream was not enough. Had to at least try the milkshake. Then one flavour of milkshake was not enough. Uh oh I think it's turning into an addiction... Casino for dinner. Early bed as back to back century days coming ...

    We began our day traveling to the California Trail Interpretive Center 8 miles west of Elko. Everyone said, "You should go there and see it."
