We have stayed in the hotel and the motel. I prefer the motel. You have your own door and get to avoid elevators. Newly redone but in a 60's theme. Very clean. Plenty of space. Refrigerator and microwave. Hairdryer. Nice shampoo and conditioner plus soap. Table for work or eating at. Nice flat screen tv. Air conditioning works excellent. Extra pillow and blanket available already in the room. Will stay again. Love this place. Attached restaurants are excellent and I recommend those as well. Parking included. Great neighborhood. Worth a stay!

Stay in the motel for a charming experience. You have your own door to the outside and avoid elevators. Redone recently in 60's motif. Refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, table for work, nice flat screen, coffee pot. AC works great. Extra pillow and blanket in the room. Decent size closet and huge chest of drawers. Definitely worth a stay. We will always return.

... in first class on Cathay Pacific to Australia via Hong Kong and a return flight from Sydney to LAX via Fiji on Air Pacific, which just changed its name to Fiji Airways. Our stop in Fiji was just to change planes and then continue on to LAX. We then decided to see if we could stay for a day or two since we probably would never be in Fiji again. This fateful decision would ultimately cost Joe an estimated 11 hours on the phone making 8 ...

... also visit the museum and studio of Frank Lloyd Wright, but you can also just take a walk in the town and see houses built by him. His style is the Prairie Style and quite frankly I didn't like. Houses look like fortresseses and have very small windows. But well, everyone has different taste ;)

... more homogeneous. It was intersting, though, how it was a little bit Fung Sui in the way the upper deck wrapped around the ends and the jumbotrons at each end were a little bit off-center. The seats were comfortable, and there was plenty of room. The concessions were more of the same from the previous two days. It seems the Midwest stadiums haven't quite gotten past the bratwurst, pizza, hamburger options. One thing ...

... over here it doesn't taste all that great. After a friend recommended searching for Mexican made cola I went to the food stand that was, you guessed it, Mexican. The guy behind the counter explained the difference to me. Apparently the Mexican stuff is made with sugar cane. He opens the glass bottle for me and I take a sip. Yummy. I tip the man for being so helpful. After all, his entire staff stopped working when I started talking and didn't seem to be getting any work done while ...

We arrived in Chicago after a short, direct flight from Grand Cayman at a reasonable 12:00 noon. So much we could do with the day... We opted to begin with the highly recommended, River Architecture tour. Following a delectable lunch at Brasserie, near our hotel, we hopped in a cab to the Navy Pier. Our guide, an elderly Chicagan with a degree in Architecture History, was friendly, hospitable and so knowledgeable. The tour was ...
