We have stayed in the hotel and the motel. I prefer the motel. You have your own door and get to avoid elevators. Newly redone but in a 60's theme. Very clean. Plenty of space. Refrigerator and microwave. Hairdryer. Nice shampoo and conditioner plus soap. Table for work or eating at. Nice flat screen tv. Air conditioning works excellent. Extra pillow and blanket available already in the room. Will stay again. Love this place. Attached restaurants are excellent and I recommend those as well. Parking included. Great neighborhood. Worth a stay!

Stay in the motel for a charming experience. You have your own door to the outside and avoid elevators. Redone recently in 60's motif. Refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, table for work, nice flat screen, coffee pot. AC works great. Extra pillow and blanket in the room. Decent size closet and huge chest of drawers. Definitely worth a stay. We will always return.

Last day of school…and only one day until vacation!

Our bags are packed and we are ready to go! We started planning this trip 12 years ago when we were in Greece, with the plan to come back with our future children to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Considering we weren't even engaged at the time, it was an ambitious plan. Luckily, it all worked out and here we are married nearly 10 years (we will celebrate ...

Tips For Purchasing Good Home Owner's Insurance

... debt in full will lower your annual premiums in return.

Homeowner's insurance shouldn't be up for consideration, you should go out and buy it. Without insurance, you are not protected against losses due to theft, fire or other natural disasters. If you took a mortgage, you will more than likely be required to insure your home.

When getting insurance claims ready, get several price estimates from different contractors. If you have to make some ...

      Hemingway and Frank Lloyd Wright

... also visit the museum and studio of Frank Lloyd Wright, but you can also just take a walk in the town and see houses built by him. His style is the Prairie Style and quite frankly I didn't like. Houses look like fortresseses and have very small windows. But well, everyone has different taste ;)

... of into Lake Michigan. Needless to say, the city of St Louis was less than impressed with this idea, and promptly tried to sue the city of Chicago. As far back as 1848, attempts had been made to divert water away from the city and lake. In 1900, The Sanitary District of Chicago succeeded in reversing the flow of the river with a series of canal locks, thereby increasing the flow of water from Lake Michigan. Before this, it had been known by many as "the stinking river" because ...

      24 Hours in Chicagoland

Unlike the wider metropolitan areas of most cities, which are unimaginatively referred to as "metro-this" and "greater-that", Chicago has the self-referential chutzpah to call its broader environs "Chicagoland". This actually says a lot about the city. Chicago is a city of huge skyscrapers, densely packed side-by-side to create a network of streets and offices that feels positively huge. Then, strikingly, the ...
