We have stayed in the hotel and the motel. I prefer the motel. You have your own door and get to avoid elevators. Newly redone but in a 60's theme. Very clean. Plenty of space. Refrigerator and microwave. Hairdryer. Nice shampoo and conditioner plus soap. Table for work or eating at. Nice flat screen tv. Air conditioning works excellent. Extra pillow and blanket available already in the room. Will stay again. Love this place. Attached restaurants are excellent and I recommend those as well. Parking included. Great neighborhood. Worth a stay!

Stay in the motel for a charming experience. You have your own door to the outside and avoid elevators. Redone recently in 60's motif. Refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, table for work, nice flat screen, coffee pot. AC works great. Extra pillow and blanket in the room. Decent size closet and huge chest of drawers. Definitely worth a stay. We will always return.

On with the tour. We walked on down MM until we came to the Old Water Tower. This building was one of only a few that survived the great Chicago fire.

... so we left a tad early as we had to catch a shuttle bus between stations. Then there was about 20 minutes on the train again. Poor Dave. Honestly I had such flashbacks to poor Cameron, who spent the end of our trip dragging all of our stuff around because I was literally incapacitated with motion sickness. Fast forward six years and it was basically the same with a different guy! :p The only bad thing about Chicago....I swear to god they build ...

American Airlines Flight 2729was a small plane. Boarding was quick we had to valet check one of our carry ons because the plane was so SMALL. The flight went well and the clouds cleared out well. Nikki slept a little and Billy read from the free magazines provided. We always find something in these books that we want to buy but never do. The landing was great and getting off was ok now to find our gate for our hop ...

... had us looking for pull-along suitcases suitable for Chris to use on his weekly commute interstate, and the sale rack on every floor of Bloomingdales was always investigated thoroughly - though no further purchases were made. We left the building and crossed Michigan Avenue to have a quick peek at the North Face store - nothing on sale, so we didn't linger long. At Water Tower Place we had a salad plate each for lunch, then looked at even more shops - including ...

Following my retreat to Oak Park, I made my way back to town, this time to explore the Art Institute. This art museum absolutely blew my mind with its wide range of exhibits, from ancient Asian and African works of arts to Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh and to more modern American and European ...
