We have stayed in the hotel and the motel. I prefer the motel. You have your own door and get to avoid elevators. Newly redone but in a 60's theme. Very clean. Plenty of space. Refrigerator and microwave. Hairdryer. Nice shampoo and conditioner plus soap. Table for work or eating at. Nice flat screen tv. Air conditioning works excellent. Extra pillow and blanket available already in the room. Will stay again. Love this place. Attached restaurants are excellent and I recommend those as well. Parking included. Great neighborhood. Worth a stay!

Stay in the motel for a charming experience. You have your own door to the outside and avoid elevators. Redone recently in 60's motif. Refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, table for work, nice flat screen, coffee pot. AC works great. Extra pillow and blanket in the room. Decent size closet and huge chest of drawers. Definitely worth a stay. We will always return.

... also visit the museum and studio of Frank Lloyd Wright, but you can also just take a walk in the town and see houses built by him. His style is the Prairie Style and quite frankly I didn't like. Houses look like fortresseses and have very small windows. But well, everyone has different taste ;)

The City of Chicago then gave permission to install the new pilings 3.5 feet South from the old pilings. Unbeknownst to the crewmembers that began work at the site, beneath the river was an abandoned [Chicago Tunnel Company] tunnel that had been used in the early 20th century ...

... hit the town--hopefully with more success--to score a night at a local jazz club.

After a long walk through the Loop one last time, we ended up at our old nemesis--the bouncer at Buddy Guy's Legends blues club. However, since we both had our identification this time, our nemesis seemed rather placid. Placid is probably the word for the blues band we saw perform as well. For a music known as emotionally intense and authentic, this band ...

... I'm bound to get a great view.... Of the buildings all around me it seems. I do a quick scan of the apartment. Nice. Give mum a quick call and realise I'm pretty tired so head to bed for the night.  I'm out like a light. Morning comes and it's pretty mild weather so I put my tights and shirt on and pack my cardy.  I'm ready to hit the street. Crikey dick it's loud and busy and very full on. I stand on the sidewalk for a ...

We arrived in Chicago around 3:30 pm on Sunday afternoon. After stuffing our bags in a broken train station locker, we hailed a cab and headed over to Gino's East, the highly-praised pizza joint that we'd heard about from some Chicagoans on the train. Every square inch of the walls and decor at Gino's was covered in names and messages written by thousands of patrons and attesting to the amazing food we were about to order. ...
