Another East German city. This one is the home of music. And some nice buildings, churches, a castle and a big monument.

... of got some pics, in the morning before Roy and I, only just made the castle tour, Jack must of heard the manly roar of a Tiger or maybe that whiny screech of the GS moped, but he was there to take a pic as we left.
Nice couple, and great company.
The castle was strange, I remember the tv programme, the board game, and from what little I know of history some of the inmates.

... very spot in Leipzig. The structure is 91metres tall. The pictures don't do it justice, it was very impressive and one of the largest monuments in Europe.
The city itself is a lovely mixture of market squares, old and new buildings. It has a fantastic sausage and hand made chips shop which I suspect was the real reason someone wanted to revisit this city. ...

... is still a very new country. By now the sun had come out and the day was heating up so Beaver headed off in search of more sights. After an uneventful train journey beaver arrived at Leipzig station, the biggest station in the world! It really is stunning.
