... alternatives...it was crazy. Thanfully I had brought with me a reasonably good German road map and managed to navigate us back onto more major routes. I'm sure that somebody had once told me that the German auto-bahns were good but there were very little dual carriageways or the like. I was ready to chuck the satnav out the window and resorted to navigating by the map alone. I got us back on track only to be slowed down by several large conveys of trucks that were difficult to pass ...

... evening. I do think it will unfortunately influence my tentative plans to return to Richard-Wagner-Platz and enjoy the game amongst a throng of German Fußball Fans. So I spent the day doing laundry, cleaning and preparing a couple of meals. I also did a bit of reading in preparation for my trip to the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek tomorrow. There was even one brave soul in the crowd waving the tri-color flag of France. When the game was over I headed to a restaurant that I found on the internet which seemed definitely American—the Texas Inn. I thought ...

... People submitted guesses of: a serving utensil for potato cakes, a spatula to turn omelets, a serving utensil (which I felt was too general), a strainer to clean a cat litter box and a utensil to remove meat from broth. The last answer is correct as the label on the item in the city museum indicated "Sardinenheber" or sardine lifter. Does anyone wish to place an order for one? It could be very useful and the winner actually has an item like it in her drawer. Congratulations!
