Liebe Menschen,
Bis dahin: Keep on rockin´

... took an 8-mile hike around Lake Bled and up to the Vintgar Gorge. Imagine if you will (or just look at our pictures) a clear emerald lake with a small island housing an old church/monastery with bells ringing throughout the day; on one shore a castle sits on a cliff overlooking the lake; and the Julian Alps, draped in early winter snow, sit majestically behind the hamlet ...

... ingredients and cooked a beef stew to make me feel better. Oh I did go and get my stiches taken out of my head with no problems looks like everything is healing ok but still feel sick and stuff all the bloody time.

Well today was much better it was sunny and we got up and wrapped up warm as its like a sunny autumn day in england. There was a dali exhibition on that Ian wanted to go and see so we walked along the side of the lake ...
... was just as we pulled up outside of it. Croatia is an amazing country very beautiful and the people that we have met have been amazing but go we have to. Got our train tickets to Slovenia we are not staying in the capital Ljubljana as we think it might be a little too busy but we have to get the train there and then get another train to Bled which is a lake near the border of Austria.
We got to the train ...
... behind me and one woman was laughing and the other was just looking at me as if to say ‘just get off the road you stupid tourist’. It occurred to me later that the timing of the chain seizing up at the same time I signalled my turn may have led them to think that I simply couldn’t ride a bike with one hand! No wonder she thought I was pathetic.
Witek came and lifted the bike off of me and we collected a couple of pieces of bike that had scattered on the road ...
... was all very picturesque. We found a great free camping spot right outside of the campground! Originally we were headed to the campground but saw a few campervans parked outside in the parking lot-we were still able to walk to the toilets and use them so we saved on a night's camping. After driving back up to the grocery store to find dinner for the night, we found that it had already shut. Next ...
Bled, Slovenia armajor7... really fabolous, so detailed and accurate - fantastic. (www.minimundus.at) And direct aside is the "Zoologisch Garten", its like a hughe terrarium, you can see snakes and spiders from all over the world there and some of the oldest turtels on the world, thats certainly not for everybody, but it was really interesting, because they are also explaining you very much about these animals. Yes and the last point for this journey was for ...
Klagenfurt, Austrian Alps, Austria austriafan... these small boats that you could jump on for about an hour (and 10 Euros) so you could get an up close and personal look at the Lake. It wasn't the kind of thing I was looking to do. So the Lake was nice but it was boring. It doesnt compare to some of the lakes I saw (and swam in) in Africa. In Africa, the Lakes have more character. They are filled with hippos, crocodiles and that dreaded disease called Bilhaarzia. You jump in a lake in ...
Bled, Slovenia dinovagabond... Further inspection showed the campsite to be sitting right on the edge of the lake, with spectacular views, so we thought it too good an opportunity to miss and checked in. It was another glorious mountain day, so we hired a canoe and spent a few very pleasant hours paddling along the crystal clear water. It was especially nice near the shores, so we hugged the edges on the way to town, about 3km away. After picking up some supplies, we paddled back, stopping at one of the ...
