    ... was being the official announcer for each of the musical performances, Ron was a judge in the morning and in the afternoon he held three workshops for the players. They get the blog too so I don't want to embarrass them, but they are an amazing couple! We've just arrived home from another tasty meal (no dessert worth mentioning) - below are some snaps

    ... Marie Antoinette. Our tour ended at St. Stephen's Cathedral. Yes this Cathedral was beautiful and tall and had it's own town square in the middle of the city, etc. By now, I'm not sure I could pick it out of a line up between Nuremberg's Church of Our Lady, Regensburg Cathedral, and Passau's St. Someone's Cathedral. But I can tell you it definitely didn't look like either Melk Abbey Church or Weltenberg Abbey Church so that's something.

    ... really big parks are car free. I think of all the fuss we are having in Victoria trying to make Beacon Hill park partially car free, and in Vancouver where the Burrard Street bridge is being redesigned to support biking . . .

    Prater amusement park was crazy - lots of rides I've never seen before - many were VERY high with LOTS of upside down time. Not for us! We thought about going on the Riesenrad - ...

    So Friday blog :) this one's a bit up and down with some good and some sad. So I last time I wrote I'd just had a fantastic but freezing time in Munich and was booked to travel to Salzburg. Train rides in Europe are uneventful. They are on time and at the moment the trains aren't packed and the scenery, well it's ok - but it's no Swiss alps!
