... knew I would do myself an injustice if I didn't push myself a little bit further here. And I'm glad I did - it was the most beautiful cathedral, and that was just the outside (and a third of it would've been in scaffolding). I didn't realise the inside was even open to the public until I walked past the front doors, and realised people were going in without tickets. So I ventured inside and clearly remember me classically saying gods name in vain as I walked in - ...

... 8217;t have to walk too far to see this, we spent the day in the Albertina gallery taking in Monet and Picasso, followed by a walk round town visiting the Volksgarten, cathedral etc and generally wandering round the pretty streets, and of course sampling the beer and wine.

St. Karl’s Church was refurbished and after cleaning the frescos in the ...

... time after the tour to stop in a Vienna café. They are known for wonderful coffee and pastries (we were told that going to Starbucks in Vienna is practically a crime). Mom wasn't in the mood for coffee (and I don't drink it anyways) so instead we had Hot Chocolate and Almond cake. They were both fantastic! The hot chocolate wasn't overly sweet but rich and chocolatey. The almond cake was light and refreshing. We wanted to follow that up with Vienna sausages from a good ...

... The others had spied a seafood shop on the walking tour so they went back to buy something from there. We sat on the steps of the church together and ate our booty taking in the bustling atmosphere of the market. A bit more wandering and a beer and coffee in a cafe while we waited for Joey to meet up with the others for the long drive to Vienna. Before we reached Vienna we had to have a compulsory stop for Antonio, the driver. He had driven the ...
